The Life Skills Course

Solve any problem you will ever face with 12 core skills and enjoy mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health for life. 

Between social media, advertisements, personal development books, and an overwhelming amount of therapy options, it can be almost impossible to decipher the most efficient and helpful tools needed for a healthy mental state. After years of research and personal and professional experience, I have identified the 12 necessary skills needed to have a happy and healthy life. This course will walk you through each skill so that you don't just become aware of the skills but are able to apply them to your life and get results.

  In this course we will cover:

  1. mindfulness being in the present moment where peace and joy live

  2. emotional regulation and how to interpret emotions

  3. accepting and being at peace with reality

  4. Distress tolerance and creative problem solving

  5. Self-acknowledgment and knowing how to identify what we are good at

  6. nervous system regulation how to feel safe and secure

  7. kindness and compassion for ourselves and others

  8. how to learn from mistakes and get feedback to make self-honoring choices

  9. healthy life planning skills

  10. social interaction

  11. how to adjust to change and deal with stress and uncertainty

12. how to approach life with curiosity and an adventurous spirit

You will complete this course with a clear understanding of what core skills you may not have been taught and how to learn and apply these skills in a way that builds the foundation for a rewarding and fulfilling life.

 

This course is for you if:

 

  • you struggle with stress, anxiety, or depression

  • you easily get thrown off by change

  • you spend a majority of your time on autopilot or attempting to control every aspect of your life

  • your life seems "fine" but you frequently feel insecure, on edge, or tense

  • you avoid, isolate, or withdraw from work, school, relationships, or people in general

  • you numb or distract yourself with tv, social media, food, shopping, alcohol, etc

The Life Skills Course is broken down into 12 modules which can be completed at your own pace in as little as 3 weeks. Each module includes video lessons, daily exercises, worksheets, journal prompts, and additional resources. It was designed to be thorough and address different needs at different stages. Some modules may resonate with you more than others but all of them have a purpose and are designed to give you results.

Can I skip SE or therapy and go right to the course?

​

The short answer is no. This course has been designed for someone is able to regulate their nervous system and is no longer experiencing overwhelming trauma symptoms. Click here to be connected with a SE practitioner in your area.

Can I still take the course if I have never been to therapy?

​

This course is open to everyone and no one who wants to do the work will be turned down. For best results please complete some type of trauma therapy or be actively working with a professional. Your results will be accelerated when you have someone you can depend on, trust, and discuss your answers within a safe space. If you choose to take this course without prior or current therapy, please note that due to the digital nature of this product, no refunds will be given.

How long does this take to complete?

​

You can take the course at your own pace or at a pace set by you and your counselor or therapist. I recommend taking at least 3 weeks to thoroughly complete the modules and integrate the information into your daily life.

Do I have to complete the course during a certain time frame?

​

I recommend taking between 3 and 6 weeks to complete the exercises. You will have access to all of the modules from day 1 as well as any future changes or updates so there is no rush to complete the course. You have access to the course as long as it exists. Anything you download is yours to keep forever.

I completed the course but still feel I have many unresolved issues. What should I do?

​

This would be a great time to connect with a therapist or counselor. Bring the work you did into your sessions and use the material as a starting point for forming goals to work on during therapy. Alternatively, if you feel overwhelming physical sensations or have an unresolved traumatic event in your past, connect with a SE practitioner or trauma therapist in your area and discuss the physical sensations that came up for you. Working with a competent professional will help give you the results you are looking for.

What is your refund policy?

​

Due to the digital nature of this product, no refunds will be issued. It is up to you to thoroughly read the course description and make a wise choice about whether or not this is for you. If you find you don’t like the online format, you can bring the course material into therapy and work with a mental health professional.
