In so many ways, trauma damages our sense of self-worth. Months or years of disrupted relationships, jobs, sleep, flashbacks, panic attacks, and other symptoms can solidify the belief that we are not worthy of or simply cannot have the love, peace, acceptance, security or other pleasures in life others seem to enjoy. To compound the problem, unresolved PTSD symptoms can lead to disability, unemployment, or the dependence on love ones for financial security. I hear many stories of financial strain multiplying the stress and struggle of trying to heal from trauma. No matter where you are in your healing journey, you can start to rebuild your sense of self-worth and net worth.
Self-Worth = Net Worth
If you are reading this post you may relate to one of the following:
>> You stay in a relationship that either no longer serves you (at best) or is
abusive (at worst) because of self-worth and financial issues
>> You stay in a job that no longer serves you because of
financial worries (even if it triggers symptoms)
>> You are financially dependent on your loved ones and
it's causing strain on your mental and emotional health
>> Money is a constant source of stress and anxiety for you
>> You rely on your net worth to dictate your self worth
>> You hide behind a job and money to avoid dealing with symptoms of trauma
If you do and you are interested in shifting these situations, you are invited to join my FREE book club and study group where we will be exploring WORTHY: Boost Your Self-Worth to Grow Your Net Worth, written by Nancy Levin.
The WORTHY Book Club
The WORTHY Book Club is a 5-week program that will be guided by the 10 steps and 29 exercises in Nancy's book. All you need to join is a copy of Nancy's book in whatever format works best for you ( ), a pen and journal, and a Facebook account so you can join our private group which you can do here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/520685245291159
How to Get the Most Out of This Program
To get the results you want there are just a few things to commit to:
1. Read 2 chapters a week
2. Do all 29 exercises (this is how the magic happens but don't worry, you don't have to do them all at once :)
3. Show up to the virtual group meetings and discuss that week's chapters
4. Share on the Fb page! This gives us an opportunity to celebrate your progress and reinforces your new good habits
And that's it! Please remember that this program is not a substitute for treatment, therapy or medical advice but it is an incredible first step or add-on to your current program.
I look forward to seeing you there and as always, I'm here for you on your healing journey.
Much love and many blessings,
Meagan
